Bookings

For one-off bookings, please use the online booking inquiry here or telephone the bookings manager on 07479 324551 weekdays only between 9 am and 6 pm. Please let us have your name, and the date/s and times that you wish to book.

If the hall is free when you need them and you wish to proceed with your booking, you will need to book online and pay the monies immediately. You must be over 21 years of age to book the halls.

To secure your booking, you will need to pay the full fee plus the deposit when you fill out the booking form.

If you are a customer looking to use the hall on a regular (weekly) basis, we can set up invoicing and bank transfer payments for your convenience.

Unregulated parking is available outside the hall, but please be aware that there are limited spaces.

Available Booking Times

Alton Community Hall is located in a residential area, so we are open for bookings strictly between 8 am to 11 pm, 7 days a week. No bookings can exceed the latest time, which includes cleaning the hall and your guests must leave the immediate area around the hall within 15 minutes of the end of your booking.

Noise

We are subject to noise control, both within and outside booking times. Please ensure that you do not make excessive noise, and your guests leave on time and with respect for local residents. If your booking is subject to verifiable complaints from local residents, you will be restricted from further hall bookings.

Cleaning after a booking

The Alton Community Hall is hired out as ‘dry’ hire facilities, which is reflected in the reasonable cost. When hiring, you have full responsibility for cleaning the hall thoroughly within the time you have booked and putting away all tables and chairs in the proper place where you found them.

You must bring your own black bins sacks with you and take all your refuse away with you when you leave. Do not dispose of your refuse bags in the bins outside the hall.

Also please note that the area around the hall, and particularly the paved area at the front needs to be kept clean and tidy – this area is managed by the Wandsworth Council, and who have the power to prosecute hall users who leave litter in this area, and who put their hall refuse in the bins. CCTV is in operation here.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason, you need to cancel your booking you must do so 7 days before the booking date, otherwise, you will forfeit your full booking fee.
