Who we are

This website is run by the Alton Community Hall Management Committee, the volunteers who manage Alton Community Hall at 1 Petersfield Rise, Roehampton, SW15 4AE, London. We are responsible for the personal details you send us.

What we collect

When you send a booking enquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number, address, the type of event, your preferred date and times, whether you have booked the hall before, and any comments you add.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, and your subject and message.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to you, to check the hall's availability, and to arrange and manage your booking. We do not use them for marketing, and we never sell them.

We use your details because you have asked us to respond to your enquiry or to take steps towards a booking with you.

Who else sees it

• Our website and email host. Your form is sent to us by email through our hosting provider, Hostinger.
• postcodes.io. When you press Find address, your postcode (and nothing else) is checked with this free UK postcode service.
• Google. The map and the fonts on this website are loaded from Google, which means Google can see your device's internet address when you view these pages.

We may share your details with Wandsworth Borough Council, which owns the hall, or with the police, only where this is needed to deal with a serious problem with a booking.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and booking details only for as long as we need them to manage your booking and keep the hall's records, and then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Email us at booking@altoncommunityhall.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
